United Nations Plaza - Farmers Market fall 1984

Like the much older farmers market on Alemany, this was (and is) not an "upscale" market, unlike many now found around the SF Bay region. It was opened very much in response to the growing low income Asian American populations in that part of the city and featured many goods for those communities. Open both Wendnesdays and Sundays, it still serves it's original population but is also popular on Wednesdays with workers from nearbye SF Civic Center offices.
