China Camp 2012

This decaying boat is a "Monterey boat." These boats were used for salmon and other fisheries by Italian and other fishermen from the earlier 1900s onward. The hull form is an adaptation/evolution of traditional Italian "felucca" sailing boats for use with gasoline engines. Some examples of these boats may still be seen around San Francisco Bay.
